NEW YORK - Sep. 8 2022, /PRNewswire/- The Israel Ministry of Tourism today released new records for the number of tourists coming to Israel from the United States in July and August. Israel welcomed 78,000 total travelers from the United States in July 2022 which is an increase of 4% from 2019 and 71,000 travelers from the United States in August 2022, a 13% increase from the year before.

Eyal Carlin (North American Tourism Commissioner) stated that it was exciting to observe an increase in tourism to Israel from the United States. Already surpassing our record-breaking numbers for 2019 he stated. "The United States has been the most important market for Israel's tourism inbound. Before the COVID-19 outbreak, we were celebrating record numbers of Israel's tourism entry each month.

In line with the United States, Canada is in the process of surpassing its tourist arrivals in Israel with 7,200 visitors in July 2022 and 6000 in August.

"We are not too far away from our record-setting numbers in 2019 We are hoping that this growth in travel to Israel will continue to increase as Canadians remain comfortable travelling abroad."
